Seattle Good Business Network, the non-profit that operates Dine Around Seattle, has acquired Seattle Restaurant Week from Seattle Restaurant Cooperative.
What changes are happening with Seattle Restaurant Week and Dine Around Seattle?
Seattle Restaurant Week and Dine Around Seattle are combining forces! Historically each organization has held a prix fixe promotion in the fall and spring for a total of four events. Starting this fall there will be only two prix fixe promotions, three weeks in the fall and in the spring, running under the name Seattle Restaurant Week.
Plus, starting in 2018, we are also introducing a creative line-up of seasonal events showcasing what’s fresh and local throughout the year. The first seasonal event will showcase Northwest shellfish, and be held in January 2018. Restaurants that register for Seattle Restaurant Week will be able to pre-register at the same time for the January shellfish event, at a significant discount.
Why are Seattle Restaurant Week and Dine Around Seattle consolidating?
By consolidating, we no longer duplicate efforts, and leverage our combined resources, energy, and relationships to better serve the restaurant community. Focusing on just two prix fixe promotions will continue to provide diners with an enticing discounted dining experience, and open up many opportunities for more creative events that showcase our incredible local food scene and don’t rely on discounting.
Who is running the promotions?
Seattle Good Business Network will run the prix fixe promotions and the seasonal events, in partnership with The Seattle Times. All events will leverage the promotional power of Seattle Restaurant Week, Dine Around Seattle, and The Seattle Times, along with other media partners.
What is the promotion called?
The fall and spring prix fixe event will continue to be called Seattle Restaurant Week. Promotional materials will include the Dine Around Seattle logo and language “including Dine Around Seattle”. Seasonal events will have names that reflect the theme of each event.
Who can participate?
If you operate a local independent restaurant that prides itself on delivering quality crafted food, a “menu of value”, normally offered at $40 or more, and great customer experience, we invite you to participate.
What are the event dates, price points, and format?
The fall Seattle Restaurant Week event will run for 3 weeks, from October 15th through November 2nd, Sundays through Thursdays. Brunch is excluded. Dinner is 3 courses for $33 and lunch is optional at 2 or 3 courses for $18. Restaurants can offer any three courses so long as there is a minimum of nine menu items (i.e. you are not limited to the appetizer-entrée-dessert format).
What is the cost to participate?

How are the seasonal events being created?
We will be pulling together a group of chefs, owners and managers to offer ideas and feedback as we build out the calendar of seasonal events, and identify partners for local, seasonal ingredients. If you would like to join that conversation, please contact Andrea Porter at email@example.com.
